all competing against each other, all non-winning
players must report loss to the eventual winner.

fast and it does not slow down either tourney.
Playing in a tourney game and a league or non league
game is not permitted.
-
Top players are expected to play league games to
remain active with all members. Ladder Admin Team
reserves the right to monitor league game activity
of the top 20 in order to determine appropriate
ladder/league game activity. League games are to be
requested in a general manner (ie: "league game
anyone?"). You cannot request a league game by
naming a certain player.
TOURNAMENTS
-
In the case that Yahoo boots both players from the
same tournament game, the game must be restarted
regardless of score.
-
If both players are time out, the win will be
awarded to the player with the higher LEAGUE RATING.

Quiet watching is allowed by members involved in the

booted and the player times out, the team will be
dq'd. No substitute players are to be used. If a

by the TD (i.e.: continuing to play when hand is
lost instead of trading seats with partner), that
team shall be dq'd.
-
You may play in a maximum of 2 tourneys at once,
although fast play is expected.
-
If an opponent times out during play or is dq'd in a
tourney, the winning member is to force forfeit to
ensure that the game is recorded on yahoo records.

Both players have 7 days to complete the challenge.
It is the challenged players responsibility to
arrange the game not the challenger. The challenger
should wait until contacted. The challenged player
has the right to contact the challenger via IM,
email etc but the challenger does not have such
rights. The game should be played as soon as both
are available. If the challenged player is found to
be avoiding the challenge they can be rung

player may suggest up to 3 games to play. The
receiving player must agree to one of these games.

All challenge games must be rated and played in the
rooms set out by these rules.
Tourney Types
Single Elimination
-
In this tournament, one loss and you are out.
Double Elimination
-
In this tournament, it takes two losses before you
are out. If you lose in the upper bracket, you move
to the lower bracket.
Swiss
-
In this tournament, all players play all rounds and
the player with the most wins at the end wins the
tournament. But even if you cant win the tournament,
it is important to stay around because you win bux
for each win.
Tourney Styles
Tags
Most tourneys are 1 v 1, which means one player against
one player. But we also play tag (2 v 2,) here, which
means two or more people are on a team playing against
another team.
In gin this means that one team member plays while the
other member watch. Normally the player that loses the
hand stands so that his or her team-mate can sit and
play. This process continues until one side wins.
It is important to remember that kibitzing is not
allowed in tags or any games. |
